But there is a reasonable amount of evidence that he's innocent - though this will now not be tested in court as he was forced to drop his latest appeal in exchange for compassionate release (can't blame him really).
Many see him as just a fall guy, a scapegoat put up by the Lybian's to help facilitate their return to international acceptance, and that he had no involvement in the crime. Britain at the behest of the US needed a conviction, and whilst theirs much to admire about our judicial system, we have been know to get it wrong on more than one occassion.
