I understand the pain of the victims of Lockerbie, but his dying in prison would not have lessened that pain. This man, as Kenny MacAskill said, will face a greater power than any of us holds after suffering a painful death from cancer.
Sometimes we have to accept that punishment, in the end, is not in our hands.
