My thoughts in a nutshell as a permanent solution... Main purpose for the thread was to see if there was any way that this could have been prevented, because the car had been in the shop the week prior to this incident and was passed off after an "inspection"... Suppose there was nothing in the inspection process concerning the serpentine belt and the aforementioned parts?
