Anyway, I take it that Transocean had to adhere to strict rules and regulations when operating the rig for BP? And that BP's safety plan was similarly compliant? So basically we have an American rig run by an American firm under American rules. So obviously its ALL BPs fault and noone else gets any flack.
Sure, they fracked up the clean-up. But to listen to some of the coverage you'd think that Tony Hayward personally blew it up.

Our regulation does not vindicate BP from their own corporate responsibility. No one's satisfied with the way the US has handled this, IE turning away experts who have dealt with these types of spills before, but nothing changes the fact that the oil is on BP's hands
