Adelaide might be worth a try, last year was my 1st year with them and I was paying £600 for a mk5 golf Gti, I bought my 330d in mid policy and that added an extra £170 to the policy, a couple of weeks ago they sent me a renewal quote for £868, I was going to dump them as I went on money supermarket.com and found a policy for £470, called to tell them I wasn't going to renew with them and they gave me a new price of £440, I was going to tell them to stick it out of principle but couldn't be bothered with getting the no claims proof and forwarding it to new insurer.
Just goes to show how big a rip off insurance really is.
