You know, I've been wondering about this too. I would imagin that overdriving the signal would cause clipping at least. You could set things up to max out at 2.8V and never take it above that, but then your "bong" would be really loud. I wonder if adding an attenuator would help, or just add more "junk" to the signal. If nobody has an answer, I'll sift through the "big thread on the other forum" to see if there's anything in there.
