Take it from me the auctions at the moment are a waste of time.
I've been in the trade for nearly 10 years and the last year used car prices have gone crazy, the last two BMW's i've bought 630 and 335d coupe i've bought from autotrader.
For some reason (likely something to do with Vat qualifiying cars) people are willing to pay crazy money for cars in the trade. So anything around the trade price i would snap someones hand off.
