I like certain movies as much as the next person. If I want to see certain things, I watch certain movies. Cinematograph and vistas, Lawrence of Arabia. It simply cannot be matched. Great acting, too many to choose from.
Action, Jason S, Arnold S, Keanu R, T Cruise, S. L. Jackson, et al.
I go in, strap down, and get ready to go for a ride. I willingly suspend disbelief.
That is what I go to a movie for. Anything else, I'd almost always rather read the book.
