My window was smashed last week and it looked like it was an attempt to steal my but luckily they were disturbed during the process. A few days later a BMW 1M was stolen from a neighbouring area in the same manner as described above.
I've done a few things to ensure it will be much more difficult to steal if they try to do it again. Annoyingly they scratched my door and I had to remove both front seats to clean up the glass. Also the alarm didn't seem to go off
I have comfort access so I wouldn't have accidently pushed the button on the fob twice.
