I'm in the buy another cheapo car for winter camp, solves all the getting around issues and also addresses the problem of other out of control road users hitting your pride and joy. If it is tucked up in the garage all safe and sound then no one can hurt it.
Last time I bought a runaround I sold it in Spring for £50 more than I bought it for, all it cost me was 6 months tax and insurance.
