Can't really give you any advice on it, but here's my similar experience.

Got into the car, CAS accepted and locked the key in, and then a faulty battery cable completely disabled every single electrical system in the car, locks, windows (including going down a little when you open them), trunk opener, and CAS.

As you could imagine since there was no power to the CAS I couldn't get the key out, and since the battery was locked in the truck I couldn't replace or tamper with the faulty cable. Metal key wouldn't open the trunk either.

I had to hook another car up to the lead under the hood, which gave me just enough power to get the key out of the cas and the trunk open.

I doubt that really helps you but it was a very irritating experience and I felt the need to share.
