Yes, the Michelin A/S+ will last longer, but probably not 40K miles. Especially if you have a sport package with the staggered sizes, because you can't rotate front to back.

On our 335 sedan, it's looking like the rears will probably need replacement between 30 and 35K miles, likely closer to 30K. Fronts might have gone 40K, but were just replaced with a warranty credit from Michelin for losing chunks of tread (they had a bad mold at the factory, since replaced). But otherwise, they still had 3.2 mm of tread in the non-damaged areas after 26K miles.

Plus, of course, they cost way less than the OEM tires.

Note, although Michelin warrants them for 45K treadlife, it's halved on the staggered setup, due to not being able to rotate.
