Bummer. I hope it works out for you man!

Personally I'd call BMW and let them decide so they can't blame anything on you.

The problem here is that the direct injection is coming in more and more new cars every day so that even the Ms should be getting it real soon.

I'm paranoid about this and I'm waiting for mine to blow. When that happens I'm going to have the fuel tested if possible and also ask to the see the dead pump or talk to the techs and ask them WTF is really happening that so many HPFPs should fail and what they think the actual failure % is.
