It is funny you say that. Kelly/Edmunds and the like are only very rough guides and usually well out of date.
The dealer might give you less than "Edmund's trade value - average" for your pristine car, put plastic on the floormats and then mark it for sale at "Edmund's retail."
The best way to determine the true "value" of cars these days is to see what a comparable car sold for at the Manheim auction - and even that isn't all that accurate anymore, but if you are in the PA/NJ/NY area then it is probably a pretty close indicator of what the dealer paid for the car.
