No, I wasn't offered.
The car was gone before I actually got the cheque - which I found out because I wanted something from the car, and it was just going out of the gates. I did get what I wanted though!
I wouldn't have taken the car back, even though it might have been tempting. A few years ago, maybe, but not now. Also, with my daughter getting married next month, the run up and all the preparations are stressing my wife, and she would have had a sense of humour failure if I'd have come back with a dead car!
