It's normal for the JBD to trigger limp mode and it will happen regardless of whether you make a right or left turn etc. The DME records/tracks fuel pump pressure anomalies and when it has logged enough of them over time it will trigger an SES light and or limp mode, because it made the determination that something is wrong with your HPFP. The error code that is stored is from a low fuel pressure signal which is how the JBD works.

For a very few this does not seem to happen. I can go for several months before it triggers limp mode, but without fail it eventually will.
