BMW dealers and their courtesy cars

Is it standard practice not to charge the customer to use a courtesy car if their car is in for warranty repairs?

They originally told me last week that there was a charge of £22.50 for the insurance for the day which I thought was a bit over the top. However they never asked for any payment.

I wonder if that's because 1) my car is booked back in and I will be charged at the end 2) as repairs are warranty, BMW covers this?

I can't also help but notice that you only have a 25 miles per day allowance and each further mile is charged at 25p. You are also requested to fill the tank back up too which I'd do but not used of being charged for miles.

My car is booked in for 3 days next week and if they are rigid to their costing, I could end up with a healthy little bill.
