I realize not everybody has the proper tools or place to work, but this this is a very doable diy project. The parts cost me $450 (thermostat, water pump and coolant) and I did the work myself. I would gladly help somebody do this, unfortunately I live in a small town and I'm not sure if there are any forum members nearby. Feel free to hit me up if you are though.

$800 (including parts) still a little high imo. This job should not take a shop more than 2 hours. Of course they'll probably bill you for 4+ hours.
