Probably will need a new code. I tried my 2012 update FSC code with the 2013 update and it wouldn't take it; I had to get a code specific to the 2013 update. (Same car)

When I did mine, I never went to Setting menu; I plugged in the USB and it prompted me to update. I don't believe I have any Update option in my Setting menu (2010MY, 9/09 production date).
I have no idea what you might do if it doesn't work other than make an appointment with the dealer.
