That's just the reality of better design and engineering. Alonso's car also miraculously performs better than Massa's. Senna's car was also able to do things that no other car on the grid could do. Do you see a patern here?
I'm also pretty sure the factories design the cars around the driving style of the driver they believe has the best shot at the title. In other words, the car is tailored for the number one driver which may cause issues for driver two.
