Most experienced suspension tuners know the limited compression travel on these late model BMW's and be cautious when lowering these cars. It's mostly the DIY guys that slammed their cars are having issues.

Tire to fender clearance is poor indication of ride height since not everyone is on the same brand and model tire and of the same overall diameter.
