Too many people say this. It's a delusion. BMWs are very well engineered and their safety record is pretty damn good but they're no great deal safer than an Acura or an Escort. Drive carefully. Don't assume you are at less risk because you're in a BMW. That is a fallacy.

That is very sad. It looks like it was a pretty major hit. She may have had internal injuries.
