All i had to do was normal maintanence. Modded civics, i would believe are beat'n on rides... but ppl who get bimmers can usually maintain them. I do oil changes every 7500 miles or so and all service stuff usually at 1/2 the normal interval. My car has never left me stranded tho... but i did get a waterpump code 200 miles after getting a new one installed (proactively replacing a perfectly good original pump at 105k miles).
i have no doubt that my 335xi fbo will faithfully get me to 300k miles with only normal service required. I don't need the latest and greatest toy/gadget, so as long as it looks decent and runs dependably... i'm fine.
i do worry when my starter will fail tho cuz its not like i can bump start a 6AT every month that this car runs well, saves me one month of car payments is the way i look at it. If it lasts until my loaded 2018 tesla model 3 is ready... i'll be very happy

Oh no, you are going with Tesla 3? No sound, no chassis like e9x, no hydraulic steering, etc. Come on man, electric car is like a inflatable sex doll - it's like eating a veggie burger or drink non-alcohol beer. That's a first step into bland no joy life. Ok, it's a nice car I guess, I was partially kidding (but just partially)
