I honestly think the internals can take 800 whp. It just a hunch from looking at the timing tables. Its either BMW was beating the hell out of the N54 when testing or they just decided to be generous

First, we need to find the fueling system limitations which is still in conjecture. |
IIRC 07-10 N54's have forged internals.
