Somewhat off-topic, but I just bought my wife an '06 530xiT and I guess I'll be doing this job again in the next week or two. FR7NPP332 is still cheap at O'Reilly and I like how my car is doing right now, so that's probably what I'm going to go with again. Might actually be easier in an E61; I imagine there's a little more room to maneuver around the strut brace.
