BMW did not add enough glitter on this outgoing model to entice me, not at 50k base. The iS would have been attractive alternative at the introduction of E92 but now there's plenty in second hand market and the new iS doesn't have significant product differentiation than old E92. The only key difference is DCT, for those who wants automatic.
The decision comes down to buying a 2 years old M3, C63, ISF, Porsche or a new E92 with facelift. Personally, I am happier in a more capable car than a new refresh of the old.
