Don't be so sure.
I torrented on a Mac with uTorrent and transferred the files directly from the Mac onto a FAT32 flash drive and it worked fine with no muss, no fuss, no fiddling. I did not reformat the flash drive, I merely bought it from Microcenter (store brand) and plugged it in. I verified that it was FAT32 formatted already but otherwise didn't do anything special.

I used a Mac with no trouble and no special steps or cautions. Torrented the file. Copied to the flash drive. Updated the car. Done.
