Here it is:
Any oil that's BMW LL01 approved CAN be used on BMWs. As far as the brand of oil goes, that really depends on the end user. I would just stick with either Castrol Syntec(Edge) 0W30 "EUROPEAN FORMULA", or Mobile1 0W40, or just buy the oil from dealership.
Does this lessen the confusion any?
