I've read the codes which turn out to be:

SDF0: Pump Unit Faulty
SDF1: XY - Unknown error position (seems to be related to pump relay or connector)

I've contacted BBAREMAN who have said that they will refurbish for £150 plus carriage plus VAT. The official BMW repair kit for my part number is over £800.

My part number is 3451-6778238-01 which is not as common as those refurb units readily available on ebay.

In response to earlier posts this is a very common fault - just search for e90 hydro or e90 abs failure.

I just need to brave the appalling weather sometime soon to remove the unit and send it for refurb.

BTW - the INPA software allows you to cycle the ABS pump as part of the bleeding process so fingers crossed should be pretty straightforward.
Well done, let us know how you get on. What are you running the INPA cable on (PC - xp/win7/8? 32/64bit? etc.). Tar.
