Topaz - never say never, but I now press the starter button without thinking about whether it will rough idle or not. Plus whether I'm getting used to the car, I am getting 480 miles (813 km) out of a tank of Ron 95 unleaded which is far better than before the throttle Potentiometer was replaced.

This component sorted my problem however your own starting issues could be unrelated.
