I've owned both pre and post LCI 330d so had both types of steering. Although the LCI immediately felt lighter, you get used to it quite quick and dont really notice the steering being a problem, in my opinion.
My main gripe with the steering is that is it too slow. Far too much turning of the wheel to go around tight bends and takes the fun out of driving it a little. This was the same with pre LCI (which supposed to have servotronic?) and post LCI 330d. I think my missus Fiesta has a quicker rack. lol
