I don't have a warranty on any of my cars. My daily drive is a 2001.5 VW Passat (half year model refresh) that I bought brand new and currently has 190K miles on it. I'm not worried it does not a have a warranty.
If you maintain them and change the fluids when you should then your maintenance costs should not be too bad.
