I live in the UK, and in Europe the 'wagon' accounts for about 50% of sales on BMW 3&5's and Audi A4/A6
I love mine (330D), goes like a rocket ship, and gets 45mpg+ on the run (low 30's around town)
Can't fault mine. No idea why they aren't popular in the USA, but likewise, in Europe over 50% of sales of this size/range of cars are now Diesel's and not petrol due to fuel prices/taxing, so until you guys start to have to pay for fuel, I assume that the SUV will be king over there.
