It's difficult to say whether or not you got an awesome deal. It's a great looking car. Questions: What did you trade? Define "low balled me," hundreds or thousands? What was the dealer originally asking for the 335i? When you say, met in the middle...does that mean trade in price or selling price? What did you trade in?
Did you consult the various websites regarding used car prices? Get a CarFax? Car come with a maintenance history?
