I personally wouldn't worry about mileage as long as it has been properly serviced and not an automatic.

Modern cars if looked after can go above 250k. Most people chase low mileage cars but there is school of thought that low mileage cars put more stress on the engine. Short journeys that seldom allow the engine go to temperature can cause more engine wear, and DPF issues. The constant stop starting of inner city driving, speed humps will again put more wear on the suspension and clutch.

I could imagine the car you are looking at would have 90 percent of its life spent on the motorway (presuming it is less than 3-4 years old). So majority of the time driven at a steady speed and in 5/6 gear.

I've had many high mileage cars. I carefully choose them and never had issues past 200k

The only issue will be about it being more difficult to resell, so will take a lot longer to sell than low mileage cars.

Good luck with the purchase
