Efthreeoh - thanks for posting all this great info for those of us that want to keep our cars a long time. I have 118K miles on my 2008 328i with 6MT and it runs great. I've replaced the water pump/TS (preventative), harmonic balancer, drive shaft, brakes (once), battery, plugs, front control arms, tranny fluid and diff fluid.
What would stop us from going 300K miles or 400K miles? Does the engine wear out? If so, top end or bottom end? What puts a limit on how long we can keep our cars without repair/maintenance costs becoming much higher than they were for the first 200K miles?
