Sorry, I was writing that while thinking about something else. What I meant was it has no throttle control to keep itself from going into the redline. The STI, with Cobb, has a feature that when you clutch to shift, you don't lift off the gas - and it keeps revs under control during the time you are clutched in. That way you can easily preserve the optimal rpms -> preserve boost on shifts.
