Mercedes-Benz has launched a more powerful version of the C63 AMG dubbed "Edition 507" which will be showcased in Geneva.

The naturally-aspirated 6.3-liter V8 engine is now producing 507 HP (373 kW), representing an increase of 50 HP (37 kW) compared to the previous model. Torque is also up from 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) to 610 Nm (450 lb-ft). The increase in output was possible by modifying the inner workings of the AMG engine, borrowing the forged pistons from the SLS AMG, along with installing new connecting rods and a lighter crankshaft.

Thanks to these changes, the C63 AMG coupe and sedan reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.2 seconds, while the estate does it in 4.3 seconds. All three versions are able to hit an electronically-limited top speed of 174 mph (280 km/h).
It also boasts a beefier braking system with front composite brake discs measuring 360x36mm with six-piston calipers, while at the back it gets four-piston calipers. All brake discs are ventilated and perforated and come with red-painted calipers.

Exterior changes include an aluminum hood with two openings and 19-inch AMG cross-spoke wheels with 235/35 R 19 front and 255/30 R 19 rear tires. The spoiler lip on the boot lid (sedan and coupe), radiator grille surrounds and DRLs have a high-gloss black finish, along with darkened headlamps.

In the United States, the model will be replacing the coupe and sedan versions equipped with the AMG Development Pacakge for 2014MY and will be sold together with the 457 HP version.
