Help! USB port fell into center armrest

If somebody has had this happen, is there a DIY guide somewhere? Haven't found it yet if there is... But I went to plug in my Y cable and the damn USB and aux port plastic part pushed all the way through. Best part is I tried to pull it up with my USB cable since it was still plugged in.. And of course it slid out. So now it's down towards the bottom. I called my trusted advisor (sarcasm) and was informed it would cost about 150 to 200 to fix it. Stating 2 hours of labor to remove the armrest housing and expose the wires. Seems like a total joke of a price.

The reason I even messed with the thing is because every time I hit a bump, the iPod would go back to radio. Then I'd have to tell the radio to go back to aux. I was using a cheap china made knock off cable that had been working flawless for a while.

Anyway any suggestions on how to save myself some money for a USB port that should not have pushed down in the first place would be totally appreciated.
