Honda died to me a long time ago, basically when the RSX came out. Or when they cancelled the next s2000 and nsx to build the CRZ and Accord Crosstour. DIED.
Never looked back to those cars since I got my 335. I previously had a S2000 and TSX. I totaled my TSX (damage not bad but enough to total) and was so happy to do so. As an enthusiast the only other brand that was appealing to me was Porsche, but even used Cayman's are still too much for me to justify the price.
If anything, MAZDA is the BMW of Japan. My Gf has a 10' Mazda 3 Sport, and while the 2.5 4 cyl is in no way a refined engine, the feel of the car is very BMW, the chassis is very well tuned to the suspension and the steering a perfect even though its electric.
