I completely agree. The case for a 335d is not as compelling as a diesel X5. The extra torque and efficiency will not be as noticeable in the 3er as it will be in the X5. Now a 323d might be a compelling choice, because it would offer a significant efficiency improvement over the 328i with comparable power.
