No you don't, you get aftermarket xenon ballasts and connect to the wiring with load resistors. The car thinks its got H7 bulbs connected so no error. You also need to change the ground pin for the Xennon headlights and add the High Beam assist link. Apart from that its plug and play.

Why put all the OEM ballasts in 'cause when you come to sell youll probably remove it all anyway as it doesnt meet MOT standards (unless you go to the additional cost of headlight washers and the axle sensors)
