Also, if you want to be able to drive with both mirrors, just stand outside the car and apply pressure against the over-extending mirror at the place you want it to stay. The power folding mirrors work by sensing resistance at the correct angle, so you're just gonna have to make your own resistance when it reaches 90 degrees since the gear is broken.

Right now you wish you had a mustang with a $37 mirror. Yes, i did just do a price check!

EDIT: My friend gave me the idea of buying a used mirror when i was going through the trouble of sorting out my issue last month. I think the used mirrors were like $170-$250. Not bad compared to a new housing's ~$500 bill
