There is nothing in the manual about coding the car to HI-FI, I guess there are so many permutations they can't put that info the manual.

The reason for upgrading later is that i don't need to get a separate amp for the under seat speakers. Unless of course I just power front which is something I don't want to do.

Is the 2 channel version any good for powering the under floor speakers, will have to look at how to remove the subs from the front channel and how to get the signal from the harness to the other amp.
Get the 4 channel amp. As far as I remember it does not require coding as amp accepts speaker level input.
If its pre-lci, disconnect the under seat wires and run new wires.
If its lci, then you may need connectors and bridges (connect) the oem clips.
