Heat doesn't shrink sheetmetal. You sometimes have to heat it to anneal (soften) the metal, to keep it from cracking when worked with a shrinking hammer. Yes, someone who knows what he is doing can do amazing things with hammers and dolly work, but NOT without ruining the paint!
