This cable connects the SRS ECU and airbag sensors to the little explosive charge that disconnects the battery in case of rollover. When the SRS ECU detects an out-of-range resistance to the explosive pod on the battery, it triggers this error (meaning the wire is problematic, the connectors are corroded or loose, or the explosive device itself is defective$$$ ).

If you silenced it by playing with the wires, it is most probably an issue with either the cable having been severed when the battery moved around in the trunk, or the connectors being corroded. You should just leave it as-is, as long as it does not trigger more dash messages, it is not an issue.
