I am with you man as far as taste in cars. But keep in mind you are not the only demographic that BMW has to please to. In fact we are a minority. Humanity is getting dumber by the minute, the "more for your money" approach is what sells these days. BMW is a business that is trying to stay in business.
I love wine as much as the average guy, I can't tell the difference between a 10 dollar bottle or a 110 dollar bottle, sometimes I even wonder if that difference exists. The point I am trying to make is that the average joe can't tell the difference between a good handling car and a great handling car so you have to impress him with other things.
