no loss of power, no leaks.
here's the a pic from 1st page.
u see the 2 clamps - the 2 clamps is one piece actually.
no hole in between the clamps - it slides into the sections of the piping.
and u tighten the mother and it's tight!
this exhaust comes from bmw - if there was a leak u'll be covered under warranty.
If u were to weld it, would it void the warranty? - i don't know, maybe.
here's what i'm saying - why would bmw use a clamp if they did not feel
it was to par to a performance part that they sell? Would they not
stand behind their engineering and design? if it was faulty they would
cover it like the 335 fuel pump.
But there has been no known issues
of leak'n... on this performance exhaust. (someone step forward if there is.)
Hey, who am I to stop anyone from doing what they want
to their exhaust. If you want to weld it - do it, i find it unnecessary IMHO.
i'm giving you my personal experince - do what you want to do.
Ultimately it's your bmw, it's your money, it's your choice and it's your preference.

Cni2i u figured out performance exhaust over Vanguard for your 335?
the exhaust mod is a fulfilling performance mod. You hear it everyday.
with the 335 you fell the gains. For 330/325/328 you hear the peformance.
