The "mesh" style is very popular and I think it looks great. Lots of aftermarket versions that will fit - Apex wheels are nice - lightweight but durable. I'm not in the black wheels camp but if that is what you like . . . I think it's mostly a generational thing.

I'm also not in the "really big wheels with little rubber band tires" camp. Aside from not being enamored of the look, it sacrifices function for form. These cars are just right with 17s, okay with 18s as long as you go with non-run flats - bone jarringly hard with 18s and run-flats - ask me how I know. Running 19s is just asking for a pothole explosion that destroys your expensive wheel and tire.

On my E91, which came with the OEM 16s, I first went with 18s with run-flats. Couldn't stand the pothole explosions so went with 17 inch Style 66s with non-run-flats (Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ 225/45ZR17). Perfect!
