If you've got a crappy repaint, maybe you can damage the paint with a pressure washer, but BMW factory paint - no way.
Just keep the nozzle about a foot or more away and you'll be fine.

Thanks, I’ll put Ryobi on my list come the buying season. I’ve looked and it seems there aren’t any 2 in 1 air compressor/pressure washer combo.
